Light Rail

Rapid-transit rail lines are planned or in construction to serve the Victory Crossing area. The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is under construction with the 23-mile East Rail Line connecting downtown Denver with Denver International Airport. There will be stations nearby at Central Park Boulevard in the Stapleton area and at Smith Road to the east. In addition, RTD’s FasTracks network includes the North Metro Rail Line, an 18-mile rapid transit corridor to serve Commerce City, Northglenn and Thornton up to E-470. It includes a station at 72nd Avenue and Colorado Boulevard in Commerce City. The North Metro Rail Line is in final design up to the 72nd Avenue Station.

The rapid transit lines will use electric commuter rail cars, larger and faster than RTD’s existing light rail network.
